A few weeks ago my family and I were given the opportunity to watch the new Cirque Du Soleil show Volta at the Big top at Dodger Stadium. Before then the only Cirque Du Soleil show that I've ever seen where the ones on the Las Vegas strip. I must say the presentation of Volta here in Los Angeles meets all the standards of the show that one would normally see in Vegas.
The intimate setting of Volta really brings the audience right to the heart of the show and one becomes very involved with the characters that come to life on stage. There thrilling moments on the stage, funny characters that the entire family will fall in love with, as well as heart felt moment where you are hoping that the main character is triumphant in the end. My favorite part would have have to Mr. Mom and his entertaining sets during the entire show. I found myself laughing with the rest of the audience as Mr. Wow brings us to a scene at the beach only to find himself not getting the rest and relaxation he was hoping for.
My little 4 year old and his Dad were looking forward to seeing the bike stunt during the show and when they come to entertain the crowd they definitely did not disappoint.
Volta is a perfect date night for the entire family and everyone is sure to have a favorite element in the show, from the dancing, the singing, the stunt work and all the wonderful characters during the entire evening.
